Who we are

Whatcom Septic Pros provides septic pumping, inspection, repair and installation services across Whatcom County, Washington. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website, why, and what we do with it.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit a booking or contact form, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the property address or area, details of the work you are asking about, any closing date you provide, and any photographs you choose to upload.

Information collected automatically

Standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, time on site and referring site. Collected through analytics and used in aggregate.

Cookies

We use cookies for basic site function and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser and the site will still work, though some features may not behave as expected.

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand how the site is used. It sets cookies that record a randomly generated identifier, the pages you visit and how you arrived. Google processes this on our behalf and we do not use it to identify you personally. You can opt out across every site with Google's browser add on attools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Any advertising pixels will be named individually here before launch. There are none in use today.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to respond to your enquiry, schedule work, prepare quotes and reports, and carry out services you engage us for. Where an inspection report is required to be provided to Whatcom County or to a party in a property transaction, we will provide it as part of that service.

We use technical and analytics data to understand how the site is used and improve it.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us operate, such as our form, hosting, analytics and customer messaging providers, and only to the extent they need it to do that job.

Property and inspection records

Septic inspection and maintenance reports may be submitted to Whatcom County Health as part of the regulatory process. Where that applies we will tell you. Records relating to work performed on a property may also be retained and provided to future owners or to parties in a property transaction where required.

SMS and text messaging

If you provide your phone number and tick the consent box, you agree to receive text messages from Whatcom Septic Pros relating to your enquiry, scheduling, and work in progress. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Opting out of text messages does not opt you out of email or phone contact and does not affect work already scheduled or in progress.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who support our services, such as our messaging platform provider, is permitted only to the extent required to deliver those services. All other use, sharing or sale of mobile opt in data and consent is excluded.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and to maintain records of work carried out, and afterwards for as long as required for tax, regulatory and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your information and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
